Nothing caught my eye yesterday other that Ollie and after her brilliant win I decided to call it a day and count my winnings. Today I only have two selections and although I'm very confident about the first, the second one is a bit more speculative.
The 3:20 at Goodwood is an incredibly difficult race to call as its difficult to see where the pace is going to come from. Personally I think the Producer will look to lead but we may also see Probert looks to push the hard pulling I Love ME forward in the first time hood in an attempt to settle her and make all dropping back in trip. Either-way though I feel that the pace is likely to be slow and with the conditions as they are we may well see this race set up perfectly for a closer. If that's the case then the likes of The Cheka, 6f specialist Royal Rock and course specialist Regal Realm could come into their own. Due to the poor record of older horses in this race I have chosen to side with Regal Realm which means I have backed two Fillies today in mixed-sex company, which is something I would never normally advise my readers to do. I do think that the Noseda filly is overpriced though and at 7/1 there is plenty of room for e/w bets. As for Fire Lily, she's solid as a rock and should have enough to fend off her opposition today, even in the testing conditions.
3:10 Curragh - Fire Lily (3/1) - 6pt win
3:20 Goodwood - Regal Realm (7/1) - 3pt win & 1pt e/w
About Me
- Racing101
- For the past few years, I have dedicated the majority of my time to horse racing. I have become an established member of numerous racing forums and I am sure a few of you will have seen my 'Please Ignore' threads on GG and Everythinghorseracing.co.uk (great forum). In my spare time I also advise a number of parties concerning bloodstock and dosage profiles. In the last 5 years I have formulated numerous selection filters and rating systems which have allowed me to achieve substantial profit on a yearly basis. I have also established links with a number of stables, and receive regular info which I will share on the blog as and when I receive it. For me horse racing is a passion and I'm always looking at ways to improve, both as a tipster and as an equine enthusiast. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and feel free to contact me either via email at myhorseracing101@gmail.com or via twitter at horses4course.
