About Me

For the past few years, I have dedicated the majority of my time to horse racing. I have become an established member of numerous racing forums and I am sure a few of you will have seen my 'Please Ignore' threads on GG and Everythinghorseracing.co.uk (great forum). In my spare time I also advise a number of parties concerning bloodstock and dosage profiles. In the last 5 years I have formulated numerous selection filters and rating systems which have allowed me to achieve substantial profit on a yearly basis. I have also established links with a number of stables, and receive regular info which I will share on the blog as and when I receive it. For me horse racing is a passion and I'm always looking at ways to improve, both as a tipster and as an equine enthusiast. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and feel free to contact me either via email at myhorseracing101@gmail.com or via twitter at horses4course.

Today's Selections (3.05.12)

I've spent a long time looking at the cards today and I think I have found 3 solid bets. I haven't received any info yet today but I am waiting on a couple of calls one of which relates to a big priced fancy at Lingfield so watch out for that one.

3:00 Musselburugh - LE CHAT ' DOR (4/1) - 8pt win (*** Rating) - This horse is one of the least exposed runners in the line up and put in an eye catching performance to win on his seasonal debut last month. For me the horse is clearly well handicapped and should be able to improve again today on over a course and distance which will suit. He has come in for plenty of support in the last few hours and I would be very disappointed if this horse doesn't go close to winning.  Obviously the likes of Strongman and Save the Bees need to be watch closely in the betting but for me Le Chat is the improving horse and 4/1 looks like a fair price.

6:30 Tipperary - KNOCK STARS (7/1) - 2.50pts e/w (** Rating) - This horse is a bit of a punt but I think it has a real chance of winning the race. The horse had some very good form this time last year finishing second to Inxile in a listed event and also finish third behind two rivals who now hold OR's of 100. Her form in the latter part of the season was poor and she has subsequently dropped a stone in the weights. She is unproven on heavy ground but handles soft and races prominently over 6f so she should be able to pick up late and run on past weary rivals if the jockey times his run correctly. There are obviously a few question marks surrounding this horse and I definitely wouldn't want to have too much riding on her but she is definitely well handicapped on her old form and if she can bounce back then she will have a very good chance.

7:10 Brighton - LORD OF THE STORM (11/4) - 12 pt win (*** Rating) - This horse is a penalty system qualifier and has every chance of winning this race. Like my selection at Tipperary the horse had a poor season last year (due to addition of a tongue tie) and subsequently dropped to a career low mark LTO. He won his race over CD in fine style last week and the front two pulled away from the remainder of the field. Although the Lord was driven in the final stages it always looked like the jockey had plenty underneath him and the second placed horse who also holds and entry in the race looked held.  I strongly believe that the Lord can defy the penalty and win the race for this shrew'd stable and 11/4 looks like a nice price.

Total bets placed = 25 points
